    Patrick grew up in Illinois, winning multiple high school state tennis titles before receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Oregon. He played number one singles and doubles for Oregon, where he received many NCAA athletic and academic awards. He began his professional coaching career in New York City prior to spending fourteen years as a Staff Pro at Beverly Hills Tennis followed by five years as Head Pro at Evergreen Tennis in Camas Washington. Patrick mainly coaches out of the Hlton Hotel in Shinjuku

    Nationality: Canadian

    Director Filip Koziell played his first tennis tournament when he was 9 years old and made the junior national team in Canada and played Division 1 NCAA tennis at Purdue University. Filip is passionate about coaching all levels from young kids and adult beginners to advanced players and believes tennis is truly the sport of a lifetime.

    Nationality: American

    PTR Certified coach, David has over 30 years of playing and coaching experience, he likes to focus on the importance of strong and consistent fundamentals. Originally from Southern California, David played singles and doubles throughout High School and for his College team. Currently based out of Yokomaha, he still likes playing as much as possible.

    Nationality: Japanese

    Koichi "Kent" Kuniyasu has been with the company for over 5 years and is the Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team at ASIJ, also teaches at Tokyo American Club and at Mitsui doing group and private lessons. Kent is not only is a good teacher, but he's a good player having won numerous Doubles Championships at the City and Club level. Kent also has a degree in English language and has worked in the US for many years

  • Tristan Young

    Tristan Young

    Nationality: American

    PTR Certified coach. Being 3 star recruit into college as a highly ranked USTA Junior, Tristan went on to pay for the then #1 ranked division NCAA III college in the US, Bowdowin College. Conversational in Japanese with a deep love for teaching and the game of tennis, Tristan who is PTR certified particularly enjoys working with young players, preparing them for success on court, as well as nurturing the athletic building blocks for his students to thrive in any sport!

  • Kevin Oo

    Nationality: Burmese

    PTR certified coach, Kevin was a passionate junior who competed at national-level tournaments in the capital city of Myanmar and won 3 gold and 1 bronze metals successively in four years. In 2015, Kevin was a youth national team player and represented his country and and finishing top 20 among players from about 15 countries. Right now, Kevin is pursuing his passion, working as a tennis instructor at Tokyo Tennis International, sharing his knowledge from his player-experiences and offering various types of lessons from kids to older players.

  • Simon Danyluk

    Nationality: Canadian

    Coach Simon joins Tokyo Tennis from Vancouver, BC with over 6 years of coaching experience. He competed at the provincial level as a junior and played 2 years of NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Tennis at the University of Dakota. Simon loves everything tennis and particularly loves to work with competitive juniors and adults looking to take their game to the next level.

    Coming from a competitive sports background, Amir’s father was the national men’s volleyball coach and had 3 brothers who all play national-level volleyball. In addition to volleyball, Amir was passionate about tennis as a child and his love for the game and teaching it to young new players really shows through his lessons.
